There are many different welfare assessment frameworks that are used to assess the welfare of captive animals in companion, zoo, farm and lab contexts. These are essential to ensure the needs of the animals are met. We will assess the welfare of animals to inform practice by conducting a variety of welfare assessment methods within industry-standard animal collections.
