Open to students in Years 10 and 11
Do you enjoy being creative? Do you love to design, build, draw, or game? Do you make video clips, or memes in your spare time?
If you have a passion for fashion, graphics, make up, games design, photography or big brands join us for our three week Creative Industries Saturday Studios! We are looking for all kinds of imaginative minds to guide you on a journey of discovery into a creative world that you may not have known even existed...... discover creative subjects, courses and careers in a fun hands on way.
Each week we try three different subject areas using industry standard kit at university campus locations, all our sessions are led by experts. Join a group of your peers on an exciting and informal creative journey of discovery, all for FREE!
Sessions for 2025 are still be to be confirmed but previous events have covered different creative topics such as;
· games design
· photography
· special effects make up
· television production
· graphic design
· illustration
· animation

When and where:
Dates: First 3 Saturdays in March 2025 from 10am - 3pm
Location: Three venues as shown, transport is provided to SGS Bristol.
Why take part?
You will get to see and use some great bits of kit which are used by those in the industry and in related university courses. The people running the sessions are passionate about their subjects and can give you real insight into those areas. Some are academic course leaders, others work in the industry, you will be supported each week by students studying creative courses at university. You will get to see what careers in key industry areas look like, and to develop lots of skills to put in future CVs and applications for colleges and universities.
PLEASE NOTE:
Priority will be given to those pupils who attend target schools and meet certain eligibility criteria. We also require applicants to be able to attend all three scheduled dates.

This event is completely free of charge and the GROWS network will cover all costs including food, transport (where offered) and all activities.
